Catonsville Sunday Farmer's Market
The rain didn't stop us! We hosted a booth at the Catonsville Farmer's Market on Sunday, June 28. We made flower crowns with kids and grown ups, gave away books and loved chatting with many like-minded folks at the market!
Catonsville Pride
Catonsville Unplugged took part in the 6th annual Catonsville Pride event at the Children's Home. We enjoyed giving away books and stickers, and we loved seeing all the drawings and bookmarks that kids visiting the table created!
St. Paul's Spring Fest
Catonsville Unplugged hosted a booth at the St. Paul's Spring Fest on May 2nd. We gave away books and spoke with many members of the community about our initiative.
Raising Happier Kids: What the Smartphone Era is Taking and How we can Give it Back
On May 7 at Hillcrest Elementary, we presented research about how constant connectivity is shaping children's mental health, attention, sleep and social development. Attendees learned what may be getting lost in an internet-based childhood, and importantly, what parents can realistically do, both individually and as a community, to support healthier development for children and teens.
